Features

Water Ballast for Versatility

The BayCruiser 23 features a water-ballast system that makes it adaptable to varying conditions. Two tanks, holding 500kg of water under the vee berth and cockpit floor, fill passively under the boat’s weight. Emptying them is simple, either with the bilge pump or as you winch onto a trailer. This system ensures ease of towing and light wind performance while offering stability and self-righting capability in tougher conditions.

Effortless Trailer Sailing

The lightweight carbon rig and deep-profiled centreboard with a lead tip make the BayCruiser 23 a dream for trailer sailors. The mast can be raised and the boat fully rigged in about 30 minutes. Its design ensures easy launch, recovery, and transport without compromising on sailing performance.

Spacious & Practical Cabin

Inside, the BayCruiser 23 offers a comfortable and airy cabin. Sleeping arrangements include two quarter berths and a large vee berth, accommodating up to four adults. A folding oak saloon table caps the centreboard case, while the galley features a stainless sink, pumped water, and space for a hob cooker. Additional storage is available under seats and berths, complementing the light, painted tongue-and-groove style with oak trim.

Comfortable Cockpit Design

The cockpit provides safety and comfort, with angled coamings for back support and well-spaced seats for bracing when heeled. An optional spray hood adds protection in foul weather, extending over half the cockpit and keeping rain out of the cabin. This thoughtful design enhances the sailing experience in all conditions.

Propulsion & Foredeck Features

Powered by a 5-6HP outboard engine, the BayCruiser 23’s engine well is centrally placed for optimal steerage and reduced drag. Its foredeck includes a large anchor locker, headsail storage, and a Sampson post for secure mooring. Raised hull sides offer safety and comfort when working on deck or simply enjoying the view.

Elegance Meets Functionality

The BayCruiser 23 combines classic style with innovative functionality, making it ideal for both coastal cruising and inland adventures. With customizable interiors and practical features, this versatile yacht is ready to cater to a wide range of sailing experiences.

I was new to towing a boat and have found the Baycruiser 23 ideal. The ability to take on water ballast and enjoy a very stable craft and then pump it out to recover has been a revelation.
