We’re pleased to announce that the 2016 Swallow Yachts Raid will be held 27th June to 1st July.

This year’s programme will follow the successful format of the 2015 Raid. You will be met on arrival for launching on Monday and given everything you will need for the week.  There is a good slipway at Mylor and help will be on hand if required. Trailer storage and parking is in the marina car park.  The boats will be rafted up in the marina so come prepared with suitable lines and fenders.  Apart from launching on Monday and recovery on Thursday evening/Friday, the daily sailing programme will remain flexible to allow for tide and weather conditions.

There will be a briefing of the day’s events every morning at 0900, along with information on the very few hazards in the area.  We will include two races per day, for those who wish to participate, and they will be a mixture of passage races and round the cans.  Each afternoon we will return to Mylor around 1630-1700 when there will be the opportunity to enjoy a social drink on the boats before dinner.

Meals will be served in Castaways Restaurant, overlooking the marina. Breakfast will be at 0800 (for those that have requested it). Dinner will be served for everyone at 2000 (Mon-Thu). A packed lunch will be provided each day (Tue-Thu) and one afternoon we will visit the Pandora Inn for a Cornish cream tea.

Please feel free to go ahead and organise a B&B or guest house if you wish to have accommodation ashore.  Alternatively, you can stay on-board or book a pitch in our dedicated campsite situated just a couple of hundred metres along the foreshore from the marina.
